I wasn't sure whether I'm allowed to have this thread.... but we'll see ^^.
This summer I'm really into photography so I thought I'd put up some photos that I've taken of the day.
I'd love anyone's input, so please comment ^_^
So anyway, this is sharing some digi art I guess you could say xD. Are photographs art? I don't know... Hence the unsureness xD.

I thought I'd start off with some of the flower shots I took.



Some lavender. It's actually from the pot I bought my mum haha xD. But when bored you do odd things no?



A daisy! Another plant I bought my mum.. <_<



I'm not sure of the name of this one... but it's in the back garden. I think it's beautiful x3

Not to worry I take landscape shots too xD And I look forward to posting them here. But I don't feel comfy with double posting x.x

So first off, I was going for texture. I loved the ceiling from the railway station, so with a bit of angling I got:



This was on the train going up to my village ^^



And a random shot of the sorbet I ordered xD It may only last a moment on the lips, but forever on the cam ^~

I must say, you're really good at photography as well as drawing!^^ I like all the pictures, and I think you can pinpoint the pretty flower in a patch of ugly weeds!

Yeah, this is Switzerland ^^. Although I don't live here 'yet', I will be coming to University here in January ^^ I also consider this place my home.

Cat's eat grass when they need to make themselves throw-up. Yes, kitty's can be bulemic too. Though, I think it's more of if they're feeling sick or really need to get that hairball up.

Anyway, love the new pictures, the cat one is very cute.

I really, really like the portrait shots. Great choice in scenery in general. What camera (and lens, if applicable) are you using?

The railway station is almost perfectly shot. In my opinion the angle should be a little bit different and the ground should be just a tad more visible, but it's a really good picture nontheless.

The houses remind me of vacation in Austria. Good times.

And for some reason, cats are really great in pictures. They've got so much spirit and energy or whatever it is, cats tend to look great when their picture is taken. Maybe it's just my love for the feline animals of this world.

SOLDIER #819: Thank you ^_^ I use a Canon EOS camera 400D. I use two types of lens, the standard and a (omg the name eludes me...) one to see further <_< *cough* Yeah. I er.. think telescopic.. well you get the drift xD.
Speaking of which I can attach it to my telescope... for stars/planets and scenic shots. I want to try that out. I can try find the model of the lens too ^^
I know the standard is the EF-S 18-55mm. Hang on I'll look for the other one xD.
Ummm I think it's 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 (sigma DG).

RagnaToad: Thank you ^^! Yeah for the station I focused too much on the roof... I may have another with the floor more in focus, I'll have a look! And cats make the best models xD.

*Yesha*: You like the white mountain one? Well I could send the full sized one if you do want to use it as a wallpaper ^^! I had it as mine for a while too xD!

Ohh, the XTi! That's a sweet one. I couldn't even begin to guess which of the Sigma telephotos you have (there are 300mm, 500mm, 800mm... on and on), but I imagine it's pretty huge for a lens no matter what. I'm looking forward to seeing you put it to use one day. Or have you already?

The mountains are amazingly capture, those are very beautiful pics Kilala! Hey, is there a river, stream, or lake around there? I find that water features make very nice photos.

Thanks KeyBlader ^^ There are some rivers, waterfalls and lakes here. When the weather is sunny I'll go out on my bike and snap some shots for you ^^

I absolutely love the insect picture. Being able to see all the intricate details of the wings and body, just completely amazing.

And the cat's expression just looks hilarious. More of a "What the heck is that?" expression.

XD!! Yeah the cat thought I'd cracked. I was lying on the grass on my front like rolling about snapping pics. Her expression says it all..

The bug one is fun! I hope to maybe catch more like that - makes the photo more exciting :3 Thanks for commenting Volendral ^^


I'll have more up soon I'm sure ^^. Just gonna be a bit busy with some personal stuff for the next couple of days... So taking pics may not be as easy as I hope *Sighs* XD

Well I thought it's been long enough... as I'm slightly limited to where I can go.. I stuck to bug hunting. Yeah I know... it's boring... but here you go anyway xD


So here we have the spider who is eating the fly. You can't really see it sadly, my camera isn't good enough *sniffle*. But you get the idea.


Ah a fly! A common pest, caught on cam also demonstrating how dirty the windows are. Might I add. It's my job to clean them D; Haha...


And here... this is a weird one. It's a web... but with the murky weather in the background. It's not great photography - but hey. I like it :3

I like the third one, even though you say it's weird. It looks like a broken mirror, sort of. And the background is beautiful, too.
